Welcome to BSI’s JULY 2013 Team to India! We are excited about this team forming with doors open from every corner of the world to join us on this powerful & life transforming journey JUY 25-AUGUST 5, 2013! And we know its not only life giving and transforming for those in India, but also for you and I in our lives!

LOCATION:

Andhra Pradesh (AP). We will be mostly in very rural/village type settings approximately one hour from a town, and 2 hours from a bigger city, and 7 hours from Hyderabad, the capital of AP. And depending on team size, some of the team may go to our slums work and Children's work in Pune (approx 3-4 hrs from Mumbai). We have the largest Children's ministry parternship in the city.

This journey will be focused on the following:

1. Furthering the construction, painting, design, and furnishing of our school depending on resources in-hand sufficient at team's arrival.

We are excited to see how the Lord will work thru and what she will add to the organization. In fact, even up to now before joining, she has been a tremendous blessing and added strength this past year- including a close friend of hers named Catherine, and few other friends.

We are thankful for them, and our workers in AP, India all the more!

Now Anita will receive intensive 6 months training at Youth With a Mission (YWAM) base in Bangalore, then join us in Jangaredigudem-about 7 hours from Hyderabad.

Here is a little look into who Anita is...

Born and raised in a Christian family, Anita Siu has always wanted to do Christian humanitarian work. In Vancouver, Canada, where she was born and raised, she sought opportunities to reach out to the underprivileged. Anita volunteered with organizations such as Union Gospel Mission and World Vision. After she received her high school education degree at the University of British Columbia, she taught in Dalian, China for three years at an international school. There she sponsored a student club, Maple Leaf Outreach Club, which endeavoured to help the impoverished in the local community.

When Anita went to India for the first time in January, 2010, she was deeply touched by her experience in Jangareddigudem. The pastors and their dedication to God and the community inspired her. Since June 2010, the Lord has made it clear to her 33 times through Scriptures, sermons, songs, and even a dream that He is calling her to leave her comfort zone to go to India to serve full time with the ministry. She is currently residing in Bangalore, India.
